Tyra Tennyson Francis, MD, has practiced as a board-certified family physician for over 10 years. Dr. Francis is a prior Naval Officer, having served as an Active Duty Family Physician for six years and is currently still practicing medicine serving the military as a civilian. She is currently the Medical Director of an outpatient clinic and also serves the community in an urgent care setting as well.
Dr. Francis earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a focus in Biochemistry (2000) from the University of the Incarnate Word. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine (2006) from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed an Internship/Residency in Family Medicine from Naval Hospital Camp LeJeune (2009).
