The sciences of nutrition and exercise are nuanced and still in their relative infancy leaving much to be learned. As a practitioner, it is my job to critically analyze the current research and distinguish the practical utility to provide my clients with evidenced-informed recommendations that honor their bio-individuality.
Peter is a highly sought-after nutritionist and fitness trainer with nationally recognized credentials and certifications in both sectors of health. As a former athlete himself, he has an expertise and passion for the practical applications of the sciences of nutrition and exercise for optimal performance. He has worked collaboratively with NCAA Division 1 Athletics and is currently seeking to advance his career focus by working with active-duty special operations soldiers in the United States Military.
Peter is also co-founder of Re-nourishing Roots, a company that provides nutrition and fitness services to help people improve their health and well-being through nutrition, movement, and sustainable living. He maintains private clients through Re-Nourishing Roots that work with him for both nutrition counseling and/or personal training. When Peter is not with clients, he also consults with several well-known health organizations and media outlets.
Peter has a master of science degree in nutrition and exercise physiology from Columbia University, a bachelor of science degree in nutrition from Arizona State University, and another bachelor of science in business from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He completed his training in clinical nutrition at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, NY to obtain his credential as a registered dietitian nutritionist.
