Marisa is a nationally-recognized registered dietitian nutritionist and culinary nutrition expert. Her integrative and practical approach to providing science-based nutrition advice coupled with simple, delicious recipes is regularly featured in front of audiences and leading media outlets.

She founded Marisa Moore Nutrition, where she partners with well-aligned food, lifestyle and media brands to promote health and wellness to the public via recipes, speaking engagements, and all forms of media.

Marisa is a consultant to food and nutrition companies, contributing editor for Food and Nutrition Magazine, and contributor to People magazine, US News and World Report, and more. Before launching her consultancy, Marisa worked as an outpatient dietitian, corporate nutritionist for a restaurant chain, and managed the employee worksite nutrition program at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She now spends her days in front of and behind the camera as a media dietitian and content creator.

Marisa is a trusted food and nutrition expert and has been featured in many major media outlets, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Prevention,, Health, Self, Essence, Refinery 29, and many others. She has also appeared on-camera for interviews with CNN, TODAY, NBC Nightly News, Dr. Oz, and more.


Marisa is a registered dietitian nutritionist and licensed dietitian. She received her bachelor’s degree in nutrition science and MBA in marketing from Georgia State University.

As a registered dietitian nutritionist, my mission is to empower women to find their personal path to health without the rules and restrictions. I focus on a minimally processed, plant-forward way of eating, but nothing is off limits—including bread, butter, or whatever you’re thinking of right now.

I don’t believe in guilty pleasures when it comes to food. Let’s instead focus on enjoying it!
