Here's what you need for your spouse, sibling, or even your own wish list.

These fitness gifts have broad appeal for men and women of all ages, interests, and fitness levels. And all are under $100. Some are way under! Add a pair or two of super-comfortable Bombas performance socks (the company matches each purchase by donating socks to the homeless), or a smart gym bag or packing organizer from Eagle Creek's Pack-It Sport collection, and you'll be a gift-giving hero.

Crossrope Set

Crossrope is a jump-rope set with mix-and-match handles and cables, allowing you to customize the rope for different kinds of workouts and needs. Family members could also share a set, if they are close in height; the ropes come in different lengths so they'll be properly sized to the user's height.

I tested out the Burn Set, with rugged handles and two cables, one four ounces and one 16 ounces. Lighter cables let you work on agility, while heavier ones strengthen arms and core as well as providing a cardio workout. The Swift Set is a similar option with slightly lighter cables. Both are good for jump-roping beginners looking for a workout tool that's portable, yet versatile—use it indoors and out—and sturdy.

Contigo Autoseal Kangaroo Water Bottle

My cupboards runneth over with water bottles, but I would make room for this one: "Autoseal" means it closes with one touch after you drink, so it won't spill or leak. And "Kangaroo" means it has a handy compartment to stash money, a key, and/or an ID. Smart! It's also BPA-free and dishwasher-safe (top rack).

Natural Fitness Roam Folding Yoga Mat

My cupboards (well, closets) also runneth over with yoga mats, but this would be a unique addition to my collection: It folds, so you can pack it in a travel bag or backpack. That's much easier to work with than a heavy, bulky, rolled-up mat. While it's thinner than some mats, it still does the job. It's well-priced and comes with its own carrying bag, made of recycled polyester.

Abstar AIR Core Fitness Trainer

If your fitness collection includes an exercise ball, you are no doubt familiar with its tendency to roll away from wherever you left it, and the fact that kids will make off with it at any opportunity, because it's so fun and bouncy. This (admittedly, funny-looking) star-shaped core trainer solves both of those problems. Sit or recline on it for crunches; lean it up against a wall; squeeze it between your knees. It will stay put, but still make you work. The package includes workout suggestions.

The Misfit Shine is an elegant fitness tracker, and this version is waterproof to 50 meters, so it's suitable for swimmers and water exercisers. Using the free accompanying app, you can track laps, swim distance, and calories burned. It also tracks out-of-the-water exercise including walking, running, and cycling. You can record sleep patterns too. The Shine runs on a lithium battery, so it never needs charging.
