I love being an allergist. The science of medicine has always fascinated me, so my work lets me delve into the how and why of complex diseases and then add the human approach. It's rewarding because I get to see patients substantially improve their quality of life as a result of treating their disease processes.
Daniel More, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI, FACP is a former writer for Verywell Health and a current Medical Review Board member. He is a board-certified allergist and clinical immunologist with a background in internal medicine. He has published numerous articles in the fields of venom allergy, food and drug allergies, and immunotherapy (allergy shots).
Dr. More began his medical career as a physician in the United States Air Force, undergoing post-graduate training at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He then served as chief of allergy and immunology at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, attaining the rank of major prior to entering private practice in 2006.
He currently practices allergy and clinical immunology for Central Coast Allergy and Asthma in Salinas, California, and is an assistant clinical professor in the department of family and community medicine at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.
Dr. More has performed substantial research for several publications in the areas of allergy/immunology, cardiology, and infectious diseases. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (FAAAAI); the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (FACAAI); and the American College of Physicians (FACP).
Daniel More, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI, FACP received a BS in biomedical sciences from the University of California, Riverside, and his MD from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then trained in internal medicine and ultimately in allergy/immunology, both at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He is board-certified in both allergy/immunology and internal medicine.
