As a Registered Dietitian, Alex spends her time developing healthy recipes and nutrition content for her successful blog and Instagram page, Daisybeet. Through her blogging work, Alex inspires readers to get in the kitchen to prepare healthy, inexpensive, and simple recipes. Her recipes have been featured in several print and digital publications, including Real Simple, MindBodyGreen, Whole Foods, Women’s Health, the Feed Feed, and more. In addition to blogging, Alex also offers individual nutrition counseling through her private practice, combining tenets of plant-based nutrition, intuitive eating, and creating lasting lifestyle changes. Prior to opening her private practice, Alex worked as a clinical dietitian at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she counseled patients with heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and more. When she’s not in the kitchen or creating content, you will find Alex exploring new restaurants, spending time outside, and playing with her dog Coby.
Alex obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Union College. She completed the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) courses, dietetic internship, and Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. She fulfilled her clinical training at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
